About the Author
Joseph Aronesty is a tireless student of language theory, a published songwriter and one of the world's first internet pioneers. He did his undergraduate study at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2003, he made a quantum leap in logic when, inspired by words he recalled from a friend and associate at U of P, he discovered that English words contain a simple logic that reveals their root meanings based on the physicality involved in making sounds and other specific sonic properties. Joseph lives in Los Angeles, where he is presently working his next book, Word Families for Students of English.

This book is cool, well, if you like words, well, English words. It's a great idea. I don't know if it's the total truth, or rather what actually happened over the years, but it does make sense as you read it. It's well written too. So I bought the paperback to go with the kindle version. The only thing I find useful about having a kindle version is that you can make the letters gigantic, and therefore easier to read for old eyes like mine. I do NOT like that anytime you copy/paste from a kindle book you get this paragraph attached with the title/author/whatever ... that's annoying if one is just trying to google for something. After all, I paid for the book so why can't I copy/paste without annoyance ... like with a real book, I can highlight/underline or even take some scissors to it (of course, I would never do that ... I'm just saying). End of kindle rant, for now.

This is an amazing book if you take your time with it. It seems that we have not been told the true history of language, but
this author figures it out and makes it easy to understand. It's a lot easier to grasp than Chomsky books ... Sort of fun to read.

I own the paperback and I loved the chapter that discuss the history of STROLLER... It opens your mind to a different and unique perspective. I see myself sometimes analyzing words in the same manner. Thanks for the great read!
