The things I liked about this book are that it goes straight to the point. It rambles on a little at the beginning but that is just the first page, after that it really gets to the point. It has very good advice and exercises that make sense to improve the size and girth of a penis. The style in which the author “speaks” comes off a little douchy but it does get to the thing that it promises in the cover. Over all it’s a good read if you want to improve the general volume of your member. It does take time and it says so because it recommends methods that are completely natural and free of chemicals.

When I saw this book navigating on this website, I couldn’t believe there were really a book about penis size. It suddenly got my attention and, as it was at a great discount price, I thought about buying it. After reading it, I can say that this is actually a good book. In its pages, there are some interesting stuff that most people don’t know about (for many reasons), for example: penis exercise or the answer if size really matters. I think it’s a good book (nothing extraordinary); it is easy to read and it has some valuable tips.

What an interesting book ! I believe I can always learn a lot more about my own body. This book shows some particular exercises we can do as a man. I believe is something you can do even if it's not something you are particularly interested in getting a bigger size. It is important to read carefully. I understood the exercises now and Ii will be doing it to see what Ii can accomplish. I got this book in a promotion at a lower price.

Super-charged Productivity to the Glory of God!

Here’s a lofty claim: “I believe this book can improve your life.” This is a claim we’ve all heard before. Infomercials, hucksters, and television preachers make similar claims. The net result is generally less than satisfying. The consumer usually walks away from such a claim with a lighter wallet, a bruised ego, and more skepticism to boot.

Tim Challies is hedging his bets in his new book, Do More Better: A Practical Guide to Productivity. He believes that lives will be changed if readers will invest a bit of time in his book.

Do More Better (DMB) is a fitting title as the author sets out to help readers lead more productive lives. But DMB should not be confused with the typical self-help books that saturate most book stores. It should not even be compared to some of the most popular books on the discipline of productivity. Works like The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, What’s Best Next by Matthew Perman, or Getting Things Done by David Allen made their respective contributions in the field of productivity.

But DMB truly stands alone in a sea of books that promise productivity. The author argues that our lives must begin with a solid foundation. Ultimately, this foundation must rest on a commitment to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Glorifying God involves doing good works and making God look good. In typical Reformation fashion, the author reminds readers that good works are only possible because of Christ’s completed work on the cross.

So the author encourages readers to establish productivity on the solid rock of the gospel. Indeed, this is the highest form of productivity, namely, a life that “glorifies God by doing good to others.” This lofty aim is what sets DMB apart from other books on productivity.

Challies highlights several barriers to productivity, what he calls “productivity thieves.” Readers are encouraged to structure and organize their lives so they can do “maximum good for others,” which in turn brings maximum glory to God. The call to Christian character is a dominant theme here. The author argues, “No amount of organization and time management will compensate for lack of Christian character, not when it comes to this great calling of glory through good - bringing glory to God by doing good to others.”

Next, DMB urges readers to define their responsibilities and their roles. Responsibilities are general items such as personal, family, and church. Roles are more specific. For example, personal roles may include spiritual fitness, physical fitness, administration, etc.

Readers are then encouraged to write a purpose statement for each area of responsibility. Challies gives helpful examples to help assure success in this area.

Three tools are recommended for maximum productivity: a task management tool, scheduling tool, and information tool. Challies points readers to digital tools that will help and encourage personal productivity. Specific action steps are spelled out for each tool. Ultimately, readers are challenged to “live the system” that is presented in the book.

I have been reading about personal productivity for nearly twenty-five years. I have benefited from some of the works mentioned earlier. But once again, Do More Better: A Practical Guide to Productivity, by Tim Challies truly stands alone. Three features set this book apart. This work is God-centered, practical, and offers users immediate help that is sure to boost personal productivity. I commend this excellent work and trust that God will use it to encourage many people!

The Shortest, Clearest, and Most Practical Guide to Productivity I've Read

"I believe this book can improve your life," writes Tim Challies at the start of his new book Do More Better: A Practical Guide to Productivity. Challies wants to help us get things done, to be more productive at what really matters.

Challies is well suited to write a book on productivity. He's one of the most productive guys I know, and he's also a good writer. Still, I wondered if we needed another book on productivity, especially with other great books in print.

Challies begins Do More Better begins by laying a theological foundation for productivity. This is essential, he argues, because "productivity— true productivity— will never be better or stronger than the foundation you build it upon." He then offers a great definition of productivity: "effectively stewarding my gifts, talents, time, energy, and enthusiasm for the good of others and the glory of God."

He then describes the three enemies of productivity: laziness, busyness, and external challenges ("thorns and thistles"). It's helpful to understand these, because "the absence of productivity or the presence of woefully diminished productivity is first a theological problem. It is a failure to understand or apply the truths God reveals in the Bible."

While it's important to understand the theology of productivity, we also need practical help. Challies delivers. He helps us define our responsibilities, state our mission, and use three essential tools for getting things done. He also tells us how to maintain the system and handle email. Where some books get bogged down, Do More Better keeps things simple and practical. He includes some tips I hadn't read before, and these alone made the book worthwhile.

Reading this book took well under an hour. The steps he offers are achievable, and shouldn't be overwhelming. I'm confident that implementing his system would significantly increase almost anyone's productivity.

Do More Better isn't the final word on productivity. I would add a few items — I love 90-day goals, for instance — and tweak a few others. Also, I still appreciate longer works like What's Best Next: How the Gospel Transforms the Way You Get Things Done, and I'm sure Challies does too.

Do More Better, though, is the shortest, clearest, and most practical guide to productivity I've read. I'll be implementing its advice, and I encourage you to read and apply it too.

The best (& shortest) practical guide to a godward productive life

God is the only being in the universe who has accomplished everything on his to-do list. Being made in the image of God, man is drawn to a productive life but struggles to be productive because of sin. It is because of this that productivity gurus such as Peter Drucker, David Allen, Stephen Covey, and Tim Ferriss have the massive audiences that they do - productivity is critical and we need help.

But, their solutions are only outward and temporal. God calls Christians to a productivity that is rooted in a proper theology with eternal results. What we need is a biblical guide to productivity. And most recently, Matt Perman provided such a work - and an excellent one - in What's Best Next.The only negatives are it's length, lack of depth into the tools he recommends, and its inclination towards those involved in knowledge work and the realm of ideas. As a college ministry leader, this book was not practical and concise enough to give to our students... so I kept having to piece together Tim's series on how to get things done and a few other works.

Which is why I am excited about Tim's Do More Better. He doesn't reinvent the wheel, but gives a blueprint along with the right tools to build the wheel. It is theological but pastoral. Insightful yet practical. The tools are many and the system is flexible. There is now no excuse for any Christian to not be productive.

At the heart the book is about helping you do more good and do it better.

My favorite thing about Do More Better is the personal and pastoral care with which Challies writes. He doesn’t write as one who has arrived, but as one in the trenches with us. He takes your hand and guides you along. He spends sufficient and brief time laying out a theological framework for productivity—for a lack of productivity is a theological problem—and spends most of his time where no other previous book has, with the tools and system of a godward productive life.�Where Perman leaves off, Challies takes over.�

As you read, remember that Tim doesn’t want you to do more stuff or take on more projects or complete more tasks. Not necessarily. He doesn’t want you to work longer hours or spend less time with your family and friends. He wants you to do more good. He wants you to do more of what matters most, and he want you to do it better. That’s what he wants for himself as well. Whether you are a professional or a student, a pastor or a plumber, a work-from-home dad or a stay-at-home mom, he believes this book can be valuable to you.

This was more than valuable to me.�

About the Author
Born in Haifa, Israel, David Deutsch was educated at Cambridge and Oxford Universities. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a professor of physics at the University of Oxford, where he is a member of the Centre for Quantum Computation. His papers on quantum computation laid the foundations for that field, and he is an authority on the theory of parallel universes. His honors include the Institute of Physics' Paul Dirac Prize and Medal. The author of The Fabric of Reality, he lives in England.

The Beginning of Infinity by David Deutsch - a book review

If this book were as difficult to understand as some of the comments on it are, it would not be one I'd want to read! I'm no scientist but I wanted to give it a try because I'd heard David Deutsch speaking and found him very easy to follow and absolutely fascinating, and I wanted more.

Having read the book three times (and the bit about the Infinity Hotel four times to figure out what happened to the puppy!) and finding that I am getting more out of it with each reading, I can understand that it may be controversial in some respects, but I don't understand why it is attracting such intense and bizarre hostility. What am I missing? For me, the writing is crystal clear, charming and riveting, like the author himself when you hear him speak -- it's a sheer delight to read. It made me laugh out loud several times -- I LOVE that the author's sense of humor comes through even in what is a very deep, important book. And it even moved me to tears.

The subject matter is super wide-ranging, including stuff about physics and mathematics (no formulas, thankfully), beauty (yes, really!), voting systems (why proportional voting systems are fundamentally unfair despite the best intentions of those proposing them), environmentalism (why we have it all wrong!), intriguing stuff about culture, history, philosophy, etc., etc. David Deutsch is truly a polymath.

But what I personally find so enthralling is the way reading this book is challenging me and changing the way I think. I love the way all the apparently disparate issues are united in a single, coherent worldview having implications far beyond just what David Deutsch discusses in this book. As best I can tell, the author's worldview is vibrantly positive, optimistic (not to be confused with unrealistic), and rational (in the sense of being in favor of progress, solving problems and ending misery and suffering) -- a fundamentally humane worldview -- a beautiful, life-affirming, shining-beacon-of-light sort of worldview. For me, it has the ring of truth. Evidently for others, it is the work of the devil. But for anyone who loves ideas and thinking about things, The Beginning of Infinity is worth reading whether or not you agree with the author's ideas.

The wildest ride at the Intellectual Amusement Park: buckle up, stay alert, and keep your hesitations safely inside the cranium.

A compelling "sequel" to his earlier "The Fabric of Reality: The Science of Parallel Universes--and Its Implications," I feel this is as close as we will ever get to Monty Python's or Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker quests for "the meaning of life, the universe and everything." Not a lightweight read (the answer "42" IS substantially shorter but somewhat less accessible.) The famed mathematical physicist tackles The Hard Question of "How Do We Think" -- and how do we, as humans, communicate that thinking so other humans can comprehend, internalize and build upon our knowledge. Like Thomas Kuhn nearly fifty years earlier, Deutsch shines his powerful intellectual spotlight on the compelling *explanations* that are the "shoulders of giants" upon which Newton claimed to stand. Many other species communicate, but only The Naked Ape tells stories, to "experience" the experiences of others -- essentially a seventh sense that allows us to acquire knowledge of "action at a distance" (in space OR time) potential essential to our success or survival.

Possibly disturbing to readers with epistemologically 'thin skin,' Deutsch not only "does not suffer fools gladly," he barely suffers (and directly disparages) numerous popular points of view as to 'what constitutes a good explanation,' classifying them as a theme and variation of modern mythology. But I believe it wise to listen and take seriously his analyses and to read twice or three times before evaluating, as he clearly IS one of the deep thinkers of our day. This relatively recent work is directly relevant to the very-in-vogue Vinge/Kurzweil notion of a rapidly approaching Technological Singularity, the exponential explosion of combined human knowledge that, in a kind of sociopolitical Dirac delta function, heads off towards the Infinity that is the eponymous theme of his book. So buckle up, stay alert, and keep your hesitations safely inside the car on the near-vertical ascent of the impending E-ticket ride that you and I and seven billion close relatives are about to embark upon, genuinely The Beginning of Infinity

There are no bounds to what is knowable

Feeling starved of intellectual engagement? Is PBS failing to meet your craving for mental stimulation? Is your spouse tired of listening to your pontifications on the origins of the universe? Well, good news then: David Deutsch is here to provide relief. “The Beginning of Infinity” is a wide-ranging book of ideas. Hard to pin down precisely, It offers a sampling of what I’d call “1 o’clock discussions.” You know the ones; they happen after the party guests have departed and only you and your best friend remain behind, staring at the ceiling, chatting as you finish the last drinks of the night.

Deutsch, equal parts physicist (his actual day job) and philosopher, creates a carefully constructed argument designed to prove that there are no theoretical limits on human knowledge. Can we stop the aging process? Given enough knowledge, sure. After all, the complexity of the problem is finite, and the biological processes underlying the aging process are relatively well understood. Given enough time and resources for the necessary research, there’s no reason that humans can’t prevent aging from occurring. (The practical implications of such an outcome would be fascinating, but that’s not the focus of the book.) Basically, Deutsch argues that any physical process that is not precluded by laws of nature (like traveling faster than the speed of light, for example) is achievable given sufficient knowledge and that if we don’t have that knowledge right now, we can obtain it.

The foundation of his proof rests on two basic truisms: that in any endeavor problems are inevitable, and that all problems are soluble given sufficient knowledge.

One of the many meanings of “infinity” (which he carefully lays out at the end of each chapter’s summary) is that there are no limits on what can be known. He says that suggesting that there are “bounds on the domains in which reason is the proper arbiter of ideas is a belief in unreason or the supernatural.” He buttresses his argument by offering a brief tour of history and The Enlightenment. Western civilization of the Pre-enlightenment remained stagnant during the Dark Ages specifically because organized authority squelched free inquiry and the creation of original conjectures which could be tested to conclusively rule out false ideas. Deutsch says that it is only through the creation of original conjectures that knowledge can be expanded. All assertions must be tested, and proof sought. Whatever is true withstands any degree of testing that one can muster, while that which is false crumbles. With the Enlightenment, explanatory knowledge became the most important determinant of physical events, not superstition or human authority. Once that occurred, the curve of charted knowledge growth became steep indeed with no end in sight.

Accepting that humans have the theoretical power to become infinitely knowledgable, doesn’t mean that getting there is easy. Here, Deutsch delves into his theories of “optimism.” Continuing to pursue knowledge through the solution of problems is fundamentally an exercise in optimism. We believe that a solutions exist, even if we haven’t yet found them. If we try to improve things and fail it's because we did not know enough in time. Civilizations that have collapsed did so because they had insufficient knowledge of how to save themselves or they ran out of time before a solution could be found. The inhabitants of Easter Island are highlighted as an example as well as (somewhat controversially) our own current predicament as a civilization faced with the challenge of dramatic climate change. Deutsch suggests that climate change is simply another example of a problem that needs sufficient knowledge with which to devise a solution.

Arguments like this can cause Deutsch to come across as cold and rational to a fault. While it’s hard to argue with the logic of his carefully constructed propositions, it can leave one searching for a little humanity behind the words. In this regard, “The Beginning of Infinity” can sometimes feel less like a late night conversation with a buddy and more like a lecture from Mr. Spock.

But, just as that begins to happen, he manages to branch off into another fascinating exploration of Ideas writ large, covering topics such as quantum mechanics, the Multiverse, the mathematical impossibility of truly representational government, memes, beauty, creativity, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and the concept of mathematical infinity. Each one of these explorations is tied to the basic premise of the infinite expansion of knowledge, though some less successfully than others. For example, his exploration of beauty is completely devoid of the ineffable emotions that most of us associate with that quality. This is perhaps one of the only realms where logic has less to offer than unjustifiable irrationality.

While not all of these topics hold together as a completely coherent whole, each is utterly fascinating in its own way (particularly his exploration of the multiverse, a concept so foreign to human experience, that the chapter calls for repeated readings to promote comprehension). Everything is so carefully laid out that you’re likely to be persuaded of Deutsch’s position that given enough time, there’s nothing that we can’t learn and that there are no problems which are insoluble. Overall, this book is a great source of brain food for anyone looking to sharpen their mental acuity, step out of the ordinary, and go for a walk with a brilliant mind.

Perfect Valentine for Young Children

What a lovely, reassuring tale for young children! The simple prose and illustrations, cut-out heart and pockets make this a fun read/activity for young children. When mom's away, her kisses and love can be stored away in a pocket! The author is definitely a mom -- her nurturing and love comes across on each page. Will definitely be giving copies of this sweet book to all the young children on my Valentine's Day list! A keeper we've enjoyed again and again!

Meh -- just okay.

These where just "meh" okay. I prefer printing down the free lunchbox notes off Pinterest etc. because they're nicer looking and there's far more variety. These just weren't anything special. I would not buy again.

A must for any mom and child!

Any mom knows that being away from your child is heartbreaking no matter what the circumstance. No mother wants to miss out on a single moment, good or bad. Unfortunately, sometimes life takes us moms away. Thanks to the author's creativity, we not only can tell our children we are never that far away but they can actually hold the adorable punch-out heart in their hands and bring their kisses wherever they go. Magically, the message in this book manages to turn a heart-shaped piece of cardboard into something very special. After reading this book to my daughter, who is adjusting to not having her "stay at home" mommy around as much, she took her kisses to third grade. My kisses secretly went to my six year-old's first sleepover as well. This book is helping me adjust as much as I know it is helping them.
